Citrus Slice

Today K17 and K18 wrote a clear set of instructions on "How to make Citrus Slice." We all worked so well in our groups and ensured we all had a turn at contributing to our finished slice. We can't wait to taste the slice in the morning!



















Here is the recipe incase you would like to make it at home:
How To Make Citrus Slice

Ingredients for the base           

½ tin condensed milk
125g butter
1 packet of plain biscuits
1 cup of coconut
Juice and zest of one lemon

Ingredients for the icing

1 cup of icing sugar
1 Teaspoon of lemon juice
Hot water

Method

  1. Melt the butter and condensed milk together.
  2. Blend biscuits and add to the butter mixture.
  3. Add the coconut and stir it together.
  4. Add the lemon juice and lemon zest.
  5. Mix all the ingredients.
  6. Press into a greased slice tin, and then refrigerate for one hour.

Icing

  1. In a bowl, mix icing sugar, lemon juice and enough hot water to form a smooth icing.
  2. Pour the icing onto the slice base and set in the fridge.
  3. When set, cut into small squares.
